Mary Ellen�s career in the movement arts began in 1987 in dance, including classical and contemporary ballet, modern, jazz, and Flamenco forms. A professional dance career soon followed. In 2001, studying with master teachers Michele Larson and Virginia Nicholas, Mary Ellen earned her Pilates Certification from Core Dynamics Pilates. Mary Ellen has studied with many great movement teachers who have played a part in building her unique and accessible teaching style in the Pilates Method.

Mary Ellen has been teaching Pilates since 2000 and has been a mentor for Pilates students since 2005. Mary Ellen has facilitated clients who have had a variety of physical conditions including scoliosis and surgery rehabilitation. She has worked with professional football and baseball players, tri-athletes, and professional dancers.

Through dance, The Pilates Method, and sports injury rehabilitation Mary Ellen explores her passion for the ways the body moves. Mary Ellen is a student of human biomechanics and she enjoys discovering the body�s capacity for creative movement. At the present time, Mary Ellen is studying kinesiology, sports injury, and sport psychology at Lindenwood University in St. Louis, Missouri.
